Students at Noonan Elementary can earn points to purchase items at the point store!
Prekindergarten and Kindergarten students can earn items from our point store by participating with the Noonan Elementary Library reading log. Every six weeks, students are given a library reading log. On the inside cover of the reading log, it explains how to participate and what students can earn. After each six weeks, students who participate and complete their reading logs, can turn in the completed reading logs to the library to claim their prize! 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students can earn points by reading books and participating in the library reading program. The more a student participates, the points a student can earn. Students can choose to save their points throughout the school year or spend at the end of the school year. Please encourage students to participate so they have opportunities to earn incentives for reading!

The Noonan Elementary Vending machine incentive is designed to reward students who display positive behaviors. Students cannot purchase a book from the vending machine with money. They can earn a golden token to select a book from the book vending machine by displaying positive behaviors at school. One way students have earned a golden token to select a book is by coming to school every day! Students who have perfect attendance each six weeks will be eligible to receive a token to choose a book from the vending machine. A student who earned perfect attendance for the entire school year can earn a total of 6 books!
Another way students can earn a token from the vending machine is by showing leadership. Each month, a student from each classroom is selected as the GRIT student of the month. Each GRIT student is eligible to receive a golden token to select a book from the vending machine. Students can earn golden tokens in other positive ways that will be at the discretion of the teacher and the librarian.
